Kristen Pope is an award-winning journalist and live television broadcaster. Pope’s most recently completed a long-term fill in assignment at NBC Boston.
Prior to NBC, Pope covered news as a general assignment reporter at WMUR – ABC New Hampshire where her stories have received national coverage and been picked up on ABC Boston. Prior to MUR Kristen reported for News 12 Networks where she won a team “National Press Club Award” for her coverage on the deadly commuter rail train accident at Vahalla. Kristen got her full time start, reporting for ABC affiliate KTXS in Abilene, Texas where her special report on standardized testing of refugees won a New York Association of Black Journalists Award for best documentary.
Kristen loves storytelling and showcasing humanity. She’s an enterprising reporter and dynamic personality, who’s skilled at pitching and creating relationships in the community. She and her husband relocated from New York to Boston in late 2015. She’s excited to cover current events in New England and the greater Boston area.
